Updated: Now also suitable as a QRP antenna.
The successor to the popular HamKing SWL-01 receiving antenna is now also suitable for QRP HF use, handling up to 25 Watts SSB PEP from 3.5 to 30 MHz. An antenna tuner may be required.
Additionally, the HamKing SWL-01-25 remains an excellent RX wire antenna for 0.1 to 30 MHz.
Compared to the shorter SWL-02-25, the SWL-01-25 offers better performance at lower frequencies.
Equipped with a 1:9 UnUn wired on an Amidon toroidal core, and is constructed with strong 1.5 mm thick stainless steel cables, with a total length of around 16 meters. The PA6 housing and insulators are UV resistant.
This antenna is ideal for shortwave listeners, for use with world receivers, and QRP HF radio amateurs.
Frequency range: TX: 3.5 - 30 MHz, RX: 0.1 - 30 MHz
