K-PO - AV-908
The K-PO AV-908 is a premium-quality desk microphone designed to deliver consistent and crystal-clear voice transmission. With its high-sensitivity microphone element, it ensures superior voice clarity, making it ideal for both semi-professional and professional communication.
This microphone features a high-quality built-in compressor amplifier with selectable high, medium, and low settings. It maintains a constant and optimal audio level without distortion, regardless of input volume.
For enhanced audio control, the AV-908 is equipped with a graphic equalizer, allowing you to fine-tune audio quality. The 4-band equalizer, with center frequencies at 270, 540, 1000, and 2000 Hz, ensures the best audio performance for FM mode and maximum efficiency for SSB mode DX.
The microphone also includes a built-in non-modulation prevention circuit. If transmission continues for a few minutes, the alarm circuit will activate with a 30-second alarm sound, after which the microphone automatically returns to receiving mode.
Additional features include an ‘ON AIR’ indicator, output level volume control, a PTT switch with a lock function, a flexible gooseneck microphone, an up/down control for compatible transceivers, and a VU level meter.
The AV-908 is designed with versatility in mind, featuring three interface cable connectors on the back, which can be selected based on the radio brand using the selector switch.
Please note:
- Three selectable interface cable connectors on the backside of the microphone; one for Icom, one for Kenwood and one for Yaesu.
- The interface cable is not included. Optional interface cables are available for Alinco, Icom, Kenwood, and Yaesu transceivers. You can find these cables listed under ‘Related Products’ at the bottom of this page.
- The AV-908 microphone requires one 9 volt battery for operation (not included).
- Ensure that your transceiver is compatible with the AV-508 or AV-908 desk microphone and the selected interface cable before use. We are not responsible for any damage caused by incorrect usage or wiring.
